Rooted Just North of Lake Okeechobee

Our shop sits at 1005 NW Park St. in the city of Okeechobee, within easy reach of both coasts and the Heartland.

Okeechobee County has been home to our family business since 1984. We drill, repair, and service wells for homes, ranches, dairies, and businesses all over the county, including these communities:

Most of the county falls under the South Florida Water Management District, with the northern end in the St. Johns River district. Either way, local well permits go through the county health department office, and we file them for you. Call or stop by. Se habla español.

Our Six Core Counties

This is our everyday territory for new wells, repairs, pumps and tanks, water treatment, irrigation, and emergency calls. Each card names the water management district that covers the county.

South Florida & St. Johns River districts

Okeechobee County

Our home county, from Fort Drum and Basinger down to Taylor Creek and the lakefront, with ranch and dairy country in between.

South Florida district

St. Lucie County

Port St. Lucie, Fort Pierce, St. Lucie West, and Tradition, plus the groves and pastures in the western part of the county.

South Florida district

Martin County

Stuart, Palm City, Jensen Beach, Hobe Sound, and Indiantown, from coastal homes to western farmland.

St. Johns River district

Indian River County

Vero Beach, Sebastian, and Fellsmere, including the citrus and cattle land in the west of the county.

Southwest Florida & South Florida districts

Highlands County

Sebring, Avon Park, Lake Placid, Lorida, Venus, and Spring Lake, across the ridge and the ranchland around it.

South Florida district

Glades County

Moore Haven, Lakeport, Buckhead Ridge, and Ortona, on the west side of the lake.

One License, Every County

Florida licenses water well contractors once, for the whole state. What changes from county to county is the permitting office.

Anyone in the business of building, repairing, or plugging water wells in Florida must hold a Florida water well contractor license. Those licenses are issued through the water management districts, and state law makes that license the only well contractor license required anywhere in Florida. Cities and counties do not require a separate one.

Permits, on the other hand, are local. Each well is permitted by the district that covers the site, or by the county health department office that issues permits for that district. We are Florida-licensed and insured, and we handle the permit filing wherever the job is, so you never have to learn a new system for each project.

Florida’s Five Water Management Districts

South Florida: from the Orlando area south through Okeechobee, the Treasure Coast, Palm Beach, Fort Myers, Naples, and the Keys.
St. Johns River: northeast and east central Florida, including Jacksonville, the Space Coast, and Indian River County.
Southwest Florida: Tampa Bay and west central Florida, including part of Highlands County.
Suwannee River: north central Florida and the Big Bend.
Northwest Florida: the Panhandle, from Pensacola east past Tallahassee.

In many counties, including all six of our core counties and Palm Beach, the county health department issues well permits on the district’s behalf.

How Out-of-Area Jobs Work

Distance changes the logistics, not the standard of work. Here is what to expect when we come to you.

Scope & Estimate

Send the location, how the water will be used, and your timeline. We review nearby well records and site details, then give you a free estimate.

Permits

We prepare and file the well construction permit with the local permitting office, and we coordinate any water use or Department of Health permits the project needs.

Scheduling & Mobilization

We set a start date around your site work, then bring the rig, the crew, and the materials needed to keep the job moving once we arrive.

Updates & Closeout

You get one point of contact and regular updates. When the work is done, we file the completion report within the 30 days Florida requires.

Tell us where it is and what it needs. If we can do it right, we will say so. If we can’t, we will tell you that too. Homeowners outside our six counties are welcome to ask as well.
